STUDY DAYS - and other activities

Please find below details of the programme of events planned for this year. Some of the events, at this stage, are still been confirmed. I would be very grateful if people who are interested in taking part in these particular events can contact me, so I can get in touch when costs/details are confirmed. I am also happy to mention that all events are not just open to CBA members, so friends and family are very welcome.
I have six confirmed dates so far and will confirm other dates ASAP. Programme for this year is (so far): All Study days will commence at 10am, unless agreed otherwise.

  • Cranborne Chase – Sunday 24th June 2012
  •  Human Remains : a Guide Saturday August 25th 2012
  • site visit late summer – to be confirmed with Dr Simon Roffey, University of Winchester, visiting the leper hospital
  • The Bluffers’ Guide to all you need to know about prehistoric and Roman pottery, Saturday 8th September 2012:
  • Flint: A user’s guide to banging the rocks together, 19th November 2012
  • Provisional (depends on numbers) The Bluffers’ Guide to all you need to know about Post-Roman pottery, Saturday 24th November 2012:
  • Archaeological Recording on Site 1st December 2012

Costs:
Formal study days                                          £25 per day
Site visit to Cranborne Chase                         £15
Winchester site visit                                        no charge but a contribution to CBA                                                                          Wessex and/or towards the excavations                                                                    would be gratefully received.

Please note: When booking, I would be very grateful if people can send payment in advance to me at Wessex Archaeology using a Cheque made out to CBA Wessex.

It may be possible to pay on the day but please check with me.
