FESTIVAL OF BRITISH ARCHAEOLOGY
16th - 31st July 2011

The CBA Festival of British Archaeology is an annual extravaganza of archaeology and heritage themed events that are held all over the UK. Events are held by museums, heritage sites, archaeology societies, universities, conservation bodies, libraries, commercial units... and many other organisations! Hundreds of events are held during the Festival fortnight and range from excavation visits, to guided walks, talks, family fun days, re-enactments, finds identification sessions, archaeological skills, exhibitions... the list goes on! The Festival is coordinated by the Council for British Archaeology, and its aim is to create opportunities for everyone to see archaeology in action, find out about the past that is all around them and to get involved! To find out what is happening near you, please visit www.archaeologyfestival.org.uk
